Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The picture above is shot in Copenhagen, Denmark, two days ago.  It should remind us that it is good to have expectation and to look into the future. If not every day, then at least about Christmas time.

This greeting comes with a special thanks to the readers, the users and the viewers of this blog.  It started in December 2007 and set off  many other things e.g. a couple of more specialized blogs some years later. Maybe you have already visited Berlin Black and White or Phenomenology and Photography. Both these blogs springs from Barebones Communication,  and should be viewed as parts of the same project: The Barebones Project.

It also set off a Facebook group that is doing extremely well. Go have a look at On Every Street if you are on Facebook. It is about street photography. That group is part of the same project too.

Barebones Communication have long since taken on its own life. Even if it has not been updated for a while it has about 50 to 100+ visitors every day all year around. I just rounded 88,000 visits. That is very, very good for a specialized blog.

I don’t know exactly who the users are, but I have an idea that many come from different sectors of education. It is not long ago since I had a thanks from a user who calls himself Rei.  He referred to the section on connotations. He said: “Love it. Got 8.5 on 10 because of this :).” This blog seems to make a difference for people.

Could it be better? I don’t think so. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

THANKS.

By the way: There are big plans for this blog. I will tell you about them in 2012. Just keep looking in the window.
