barebones communication

… a blog on communication

resources

Barebones communication is a practical and realiable, down to earth venue for better, and more efficient communication. Even if, by reading this, it does not sound so :-) .

The resources and tools are general in character, but the primary target for this blog, is commercial communication.

The barebones resources are of two types; 1) scientific resources, and 2) experiential resources

The scientific resource stands on 4 legs. These legs are:

1) naturalistic human and social sciences; that is, human and social sciences, that use scientific methods derived from the natural sciences

2) semiologi or semiotics

3) gestalt psychology

4) hermeneutics and/or phenomenology

The experiential resource, are results derived from lifeworld experience. By reviewing a number of e.g. advertising campaigns one can get an clear indication of what works and what don’t work.

Barebones communication has a pragmatic approach to these resources, and tries to surface operational tools from the scientific and the experiential resources, combined. Tools, that are useful in the proces of making efficient communication for business and organisations. And for people. That is what this project, and this blog are all about.

Boil it down to the very essence, barebones communications will give you an extensive set of communication tools, and techniques, gathered from various sciences, and from everyday experience.

And that is, in my very humble opinion, as good as it will ever get.

It will take some time to get there. I need the tools in place to do the surgery.

And besides I am in no hurry. Actually, presence is constituted by absence. And by difference which is a form of absence. This is a communication basic much too often forgotten. Or maybe never learned at all. And another thing: the more information you have on, around and about an issue, even if it is not seemingly directly related, the better you are equipped to make the right decisions :) Right?
